PROGRAMS FOR OUR YOUTH
Hi there!
I started doing ministry at Zion in August of 2010 where I am and will be working in a variety of capacities in the church. Primarily I spend my time with the children and youth of the congregation. I also help organize church wide events for families. In May I graduated from Concordia University Portland, Oregon with a degree in Christian Education. At Zion I am completing my certification process to be a Director of Christian Education. To give some biographical information about myself, I grew up along the east and west coasts because my dad is in the navy. Moving every year and a half to two years gave me lots of crazy experiences for my younger sister and brother. My mom is the one who brought me to church where the most influence on my life has come from. The Lord has been and continues to shape me into leader in his Church. Through a long-time mutual friend my husband Andrew and I met years ago. In July, Andrew and I got married. And now I’m here!

A wide variety of activities are planned for the kids in preschool through fifth grade. Everything from cook outs to camp ins, game nights to helping serve Sunday morning coffee. This group also plans special activities for the children’s Sunday School program during the school year, and helps coordinate the Church Day Camp and Vacation Bible School events in the summer.SUNDAY SCHOOL HOUR
Starting at 9:00 AM with a brief worship time in the church sanctuary, lessons and activities are planned for preschool through high school ages each Sunday. Stop by the Welcome Center in the church foyer for more details. (Don’t worry, adults, we have classes for you too during the same hour, starting with coffee in the fellowship hall.) The youth also occasionally share their musical talents in the regular morning service at 10:15 AM.
